The business services a broad range of passenger, SUV, 4WD and light commercial vehicles, with a focus on quality workmanship, vehicle safety and reliable automotive solutions.

The Motor Mechanic will diagnose, service, repair and maintain vehicles across a range of mechanical systems. The role includes mechanical fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, suspension and steering work, braking systems, wheel alignment and associated tyre and wheel services.

Structured on-the-job training will be available to support continued technical development and broader exposure to workshop operations.

1.    Diagnose mechanical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension and braking faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

2.    Conduct vehicle inspections to identify defects, component wear and mechanical issues.

3.    Repair, replace, adjust and overhaul mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

4.    Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.

5.    Conduct post-repair inspections and testing to verify vehicle performance and safety.

1.    Inspect and diagnose suspension, steering, tyre and wheel-related issues.

2.    Perform wheel alignments and suspension adjustments using workshop equipment.

3.    Inspect tyre wear and identify mechanical causes of abnormal wear.

4.    Fit and maintain tyre and wheel assemblies where associated mechanical work is required.

5.    Recommend appropriate repair and maintenance solutions.

1.    Maintain accurate service, repair and inspection records.

2.    Coordinate repair activities to meet workshop schedules.

3.    Liaise with supervisors and team members regarding repair requirements and priorities.

4.    Maintain tools, diagnostic equipment and workshop equipment in safe working condition.

5.    Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workshop environment.

1.    Comply with workplace health and safety requirements and workshop procedures.

2.    Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable industry standards.

3.    Safely handle automotive fluids, lubricants and other workshop materials.

4.    Conduct work with appropriate attention to vehicle safety and quality standards.

5.    Follow safe work practices throughout all workshop activities.

1.    Relevant trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or a related field.

2.    Minimum one (1) year of relevant full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic.

3.    Demonstrated experience servicing, diagnosing and repairing passenger or light commercial vehicles.

4.    Sound knowledge of automotive mechanical, suspension, steering and braking systems.

5.    Ability to interpret technical information and manufacturer specifications.

6.    Current driver's licence preferred.

Structured on-the-job training will be available in advanced vehicle diagnostics, manufacturer servicing procedures, suspension and steering systems, braking systems, wheel alignment, tyre and wheel fitment and broader mechanical workshop operations.
